This week we're talking about Cat Sebastian, our favorite m/m historical writer, and her latest book, The Ruin of a Rake. There's a lot of happy sighing and flailing happening. We also talk our current favorite and least favorite reads (Kay continues to fail at finding new contemporary YA to read, so feel free to rec your favorites) and what we're up to in the coming weeks.

This week we're doing something a little different. We'll be discussing our current favorite reads, as per usual, but we're also going to give you an introduction to AO3/Archive of Our Own, our favorite fanfiction/fanworks archive. We'll share our tips and tricks for finding the perfect fics for you and how to get the most out of the user interface. It's a lot more fun that it sounds!

This week we're digging into a YA novel about one of our favorite Spideys, Miles Morales.  We talk about our deep love of Jason Reynolds, our deep hatred of that terrible cover, and also about our current reads and recommendations.

This week is the second of our two very special Not Now, I’m Reading Something Terrible episodes. Chelsea and Kay use our powers for evil: to pick a book we think the other person will think is awful and make them read it. This week we're reading And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. Chelsea hates mysteries. We both wax rhapsodic about Dan Stevens' narration. Kay recommends Chelsea just watch the BBC miniseries. See the gif of Aidan Turner as Philip Lombard for, uh, reasons.

This week is the first of our two very special Not Now, I'm Reading Something Terrible episodes. Chelsea and Kay use our powers for evil: to pick a book we think the other person will think is awful and make them read it. Let's just say it was a success. Kay rants a lot about worldbuilding and bagels. Chelsea laughs at her pain. This episode we're talking The Iron King by Julie Kagawa.

This week we're talking about our favorite contemporary YA release of the year, When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon. We're also talking about our current reads and our upcoming two-parter: Not Now, I'm Reading Something Awful, where we pick books we think the other person will hate. Yeah, I'm not sure how we're still friends, either.

This week we're going to be talking all about literary adaptations. Ones we love, ones we hate, and what makes a good adaptation in the first place. We're also talking about our favorite reads and letting you know what's coming up next!

July 31, 2017 04:32 AM PDT

This week we're gonna be discussing the first New York release of one of our favorite romance authors, Alisha Rai! We're talking Hate to Want You, plus our current reads and what we're gonna be chatting about next week.

This past weekend was SDCC, and the amount of nerd knowledge we've acquired is almost overwhelming. Black Panther preview! Cap with a beard! Captain Marvel will be set in the 90s! It seemed like the absolute perfect time to give you guys all  of our thoughts on Guardians of the Galaxy 2, the MCU and all it's recent shenanigans, and, of course - all the fanfic recs.

July 17, 2017 04:03 AM PDT

This episode we're gonna be talking about everybody's favorite soft space opera, The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers, but first we're getting emotional about the 40th anniversary of Star Wars and sharing our recent favorite tie-in materials and fics.

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.
